Corporate Social Responsibility and how we contribute

Vaalnest Boutique Hotel invests in staff training to succeed in the hospitality industry.

Our supplier relationship has been strong over the past years and as we have mentioned before, our meetings with suppliers on a regular basis is to ensure the required standard of service delivery is achieved. We also hope this works to brainstorm the improvement and enhancement of supplier products and services. So having said that we are still firm behind the movement of employee training and development thus the opening of our spa treatment facility will be operated by a trained female staff member that remarkably started working for the company as a waitress. Now ultimately this should highlight the importants of a community driven investment business that operates in the midst of the fight against unemployment in our local communities. Vaalnest Boutique Hotel opts to empower more of these young individuals and build skills that will be beneficial to the local community (Mamello) and the business itself. We aim to always highlight that our policy functions as a self-regulatory mechanism, i.e. it acknowledges our social responsibility for corporate actions and to encourage a positive impact on the environment. Our policy also considers the needs of our clients, employees, investors, and the local community and the town of Vaal Marina. It is simply managed in such a way that it has made us the first hotel to be audited by the SABS as to whether we comply or integrate environmental and social concerns in our business operations. We as Vaalnest must monitor our standards and what sets us apart from other hospitality businesses and we must also keep in mind international norms.
